About the Event

Becoming a Great Bassist is Simple…

…but it isn’t easy! The hallmark of great teaching is taking a complex subject and dividing it into elements that can be understood, and therefore taught successfully.

In this session, String Master Stephen Tramontozzi, Assistant Principal Double Bass of one of the world’s great orchestras, the San Francisco Symphony, will help you with one of the prime difficulties for bassists: Shifting. Stephen will demonstrate proper shifting technique and how to shift accurately from any finger to any finger, in all registers. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced bass player, your playing will improve quickly by following Stephen’s clear and effective approach.

This session will be held on String Masters, with its outstanding audio and video resolution and super easy way of sharing sheet music and charts right on your computer screen. Questions, ideas and discussion are encouraged. And don't forget your bass!
