Seamless Shifting: A Critical Foundation for Violists and Violinists Preparing Advanced Repertoire

About the Event

Renee has designed this session for intermediate to advanced violists and violinists who have prior experience shifting from first position to second, third and fourth positions. Students will have specific exercises to add to their practice routine that will continue developing their knowledge of the fingerboard, use of the auxiliary note in shifting, hand frame when shifting, speed of bow when shifting.

How to Prepare for your Session

Bring your violin or viola and get ready to learn! Renee will provide materials online, including some of her own original content, directly in the group class window. All materials will be yours to keep. Connection details to the session will be provided no later than 24 hours before the start of the session or upon registration.
